Weekly wrap up

Hello EVERYONE :)

Here is a wrap up of the week's activities :)

Monday
Late afternoon, we went to Flic en Flac beach, we sat there and watched the sun set and just enjoyed our time on the beach!! The waves were really high and the sea was quite rough, but the view was still beautiful..

Tuesday
Had a very relaxed day at home, and the evening, we went to a restaurant called "Dragon Vent" the food was really amazing!

Wednesday
We spent the whole day at the house my parents are inteested in, in "Baie du Tombeau".. We had a pork spit braai, with a few friends over, it was really a lovely evening :)

Thursday
My mom & I just stayed at home, and relaxed, then at arounf 16h00, we went to the Quatre Bornes market, but we could not find what we were lokking for, so we just came back home! We then went for supper at Uncle Preeya's house, we had some wonderful Chicken curry and purri. They then decided that we should dress up in sarri, so we had a fun time dressing up.

Friday
In the morning, we headed over to Chamarel Rummery, where we took a tour of the place, and saw how the rhum was made, and the processes that have to happen before sugar cane juice is turned into rhum.. It was really a great experience, and we tasted some rhum at 11:30 in the morning!! GOOD TIMES!!

We also ate some lunch at Chamarel rummery.
We also visited this statue in Grand Basson :)

We then headed home,  as we invited some friends over to have some "Italian Style" supper.. We cooked chicken lasagna and we drank red wine! It was such a great evening!

Saturday
My mom and I went with Uncle Preeya and them to Metro to buy a few things! It was so nice as there is one part of the shop where everything only costs Rs 60. Like R 15. WOW! We bought a few bargins there!
Saturday evening we went to Buddah Club, and relaxed and had a few drinks, we went home quite early though! It was fun either way :)

Sunday
Yasheelee, Vicky and I went to Flic en Flac beach, the weather was so nice and warm.. It was so much fun!!!

For supper we had braai vleis with garlic bread, pumpkin etc etc.

What a great & relaxed week!!
Can't belive that my time in Mauritius is almost up!! I enjoyed every second!!

  1. Really enjoyed the roundup! It’s always fun to read personal experiences from Mauritius—it adds a nice local flavor and gives future travelers some great ideas.

For those planning to explore more on their own, reliable Mauritius car hire can be a great way to get around the island comfortably.
